Lifelong Journey Through Retirement: Engineer Dapo Okupe's Story

Dapo Okupe immigrated to the United States from Nigeria in 1972 to complete his college education. He enrolled in the civil engineering program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. While he was a student, he worked as a dishwasher and a taxicab driver to finance his education. Although he had never driven in Chicago before getting his chauffeur's license, after a few interesting rides with his first passengers he was soon driving his cab around Chicago proficiently. Dr. Babatunde Salako, MD
After graduating from the medical school at the University of Lagos, Dr. Salako taught at the hospital there and practiced for a while. He then decided to move to California to join his wife and to continue his medical career.

Debra Harvey

Debra was 14 years old when she began singing in the choirs at Berkeley High School and at Center of Hope Church in Oakland, California, astounding the audience with her vocal ability. Her love of the Gospel combined perfectly with her passion for music.
